Do it Antonio!

I can't, and never will be able to, forget the first time I saw this frame. It was the first time I felt this much emotion during a movie and I wasn't event at the theater, just a dude at home in front of a computer screen.. I yelled.
"Do it Antonio! It's your right! You're not the one to be blamed! Do it! Do it for Bruno!"
The dilemma Antonio goes through during this scene is so heart wrenching.. When you see Bruno's tears.. I can't even write properly about this scene.. Pure cinema. Nothing else.
I have never felt anything even remotely close to this experience. This is why I think that Ladri di biciclette is one of the (if not the) greatest ever filmed.

Bu kareyi gördüğüm ilk ânı hiç unutmadım, unutamayacağım. İlk kez bir film sırasında bu kadar yoğun duygular yaşadım, üstelik sinemada bile değildim, bilgisayar başında bir başıma.. Bağırdım.
"Çal onu Antonio! Bu senin hakkın! Suçlanması gereken sen değilsin! Yap! Bruno için yap!"

Antonio'nun yaşadığı çıkmaz yürek parçalayıcıdır.. Bruno'nun gözyaşlarını gördüğümüzde ise.. Bu sahne hakkında doğru dürüst yazamıyorum bile. Saf sinema. Başka bir şey değil.

Bu duyguya ucundan bile yaklaşan bir tecrübeyi hâlâ yaşamadım. Bu nedenle Bisiklet Hırsızları'nın gelmiş geçmiş en iyi filmlerden biri (en iyisi değilse eğer) olduğunu düşünüyorum.
